What does BACHS Healthcare do?
BACHS provides an array of different mental health services, all with a client-centered focus. Our primary focus is providing PRP (Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program) services to minors and adults who face challenges of mental health issues, trauma, substance dependency, or issues that impede their ability to function in society. We provide services to the client upon receiving an appropriate referral. Referrals usually come from an external mental health professional who refers the client to BACHS We presently serve clients in Baltimore, Waldorf, and Cumberland areas.
What are PRP services?
PRP services help individuals with mental health diagnoses and other challenges reach a higher level of independence. They complement the work of a primary mental healthcare professional to further their therapeutic plan.
What skills does BACHS. seek to assist with?
We strive to help clients develop the life skills they need to succeed with their therapeutic plan. The skills we focus on vary with each client, and may include financial management, budgeting, job seeking, interview skills, hygiene, nutrition and fitness, medication education, computer skills, coping mechanisms, socialization, and more. Our goal is always to serve the best interests of the client. Our services are available both on-site and off-site, including in the client's home.
How do I pay for PRP?
For many PRP clients, the services we provide are free.
How do I enroll for BACHS services?

How long is the wait to receive services?
Our enrollment process is designed to provide you with immediate support. We are typically able to complete an intake session within 48 hours of receiving your referral form.
How often will I meet with my Rehabilitation Counselor?
Each client has an individualized plan to meet their specific needs. Typically, rehabilitation counselors see clients once or twice per week. BACHS also holds monthly group activities for both minors and adults.
What happens during a Rehabilitation Counselor visit?
BACHS Rehabilitation Counselors will meet with clients for one to two hours during each visit. During these meetings, the client is an active participant and is responsible for working towards the goals set out in their Individualized Rehabilitation Plan.
What happens at group sessions?
Group sessions are offered at our main office in Baltimore. These may be purely social, focused on a particular life skill, or a combination of the two. Sessions are typically arranged based on the age of the participants and the issue being addressed.
How long do clients receive PRP services?
Clients receive services until reaching their treatment goals, generally between 12-24 months.
